Trust and transparency

Editorial policy

How Vali researches, writes, discloses, and maintains its public cycling guides.

Who publishes these guides

The Vali cycling guides are published by Vali, a product of Known Development LLC. We do not present the guide section as an independent publication. Vali sells access to a cycling coaching app, and pages that discuss Vali or competing products have a commercial connection to that subject.

How we choose topics

We cover questions that riders face while choosing a training tool, starting a plan, preparing for a longer ride, or adapting training to everyday constraints. A topic must fit Vali's focus on cycling training and give the reader a practical decision or action.

Search demand can reveal a question, but it does not decide the answer. We do not publish unrelated trending topics, pages that repeat the same answer under slightly different keywords, or articles whose only purpose is to send a reader to the App Store.

Sources and review

We prefer official product documentation for app capabilities and pricing. For training, health, nutrition, and safety, we favor government agencies, recognized sport organizations, position statements, and primary research when it is useful to the question. Each guide lists the main sources used.

Sources do not remove the need for judgment. We distinguish a general guideline from an individualized prescription and avoid claiming that one approach fits every rider. Training content includes a health and safety notice because an article cannot assess an individual's medical history or current condition.

Product comparisons

A Vali comparison page identifies itself as Vali-published. We compare products by documented purpose, intended user, required equipment or data, adaptation, and cost when current information is available. We do not claim hands-on testing unless it occurred and can be described accurately.

A competitor may be the better choice for a particular rider. Virtual riding, social activity tracking, performance analytics, and collaboration with a human coach are different jobs, and a useful comparison should say so.

AI assistance

Automated tools may assist with research organization, drafting, code, consistency checks, or finding pages that need updates. Vali remains responsible for what is published. We do not use automation as a reason to invent experience, credentials, sources, quotes, authors, product testing, or user results.

Updates and corrections

Guides display a publication or update date. We revise a date only when the page receives a material review or change. To report a factual error, broken source, or unclear disclosure, email support@ridevali.com with the page URL and the issue. Material corrections are applied to the article rather than hidden behind a new duplicate page.
